The perfect dinner for ghosts and goblins
Before trick or treating and a true gift for busy mamas…because this Ghoul-ash recipe is prepared in the slow cooker!
It is our simple twist on the traditional Hungarian pasta dish. Our version is simple and has the flavors of a classic spaghetti & meat sauce but with a little nod to traditional Goulash…
1 pound of ground beef
1 (6 oz) can of tomato paste
1 (8 oz) can of tomato sauce
1 cup water or beef broth
1 tablespoon of paprika
1 (1 1/2 oz) package dry onion soup mix
a pinch of salt and pepper
1 pound of cooked noodles (we used shells but you use whatever short cut pasta you have on hand)
Sour Cream to garnish
Brown your ground beef in a skillet until cooked and crumbly.
In your slow cooker, add in cooked ground beef, tomato paste, tomato sauce, water, paprika, soup mix and salt and pepper. Cover and cook on low 6 hours or on high 3 hours.
Once you’re ready to serve, spoon your ground beef mixture down over your cooked pasta and garnish with a little dollop on sour cream.
