We probably should start off with all the benefits of Charcoal, but instead, let’s talk about something even more important: taste.
What good is a super healthy drink if we don’t want to actually drink it?
This might look like some swamp water was mixed with motor oil and then poured into a kitchen glass, this latte actually tastes pretty darn great. After one taste, you’re sort of hooked. It is warming, light and it gives you a really nice boost.
The charcoal has little to no flavor, and any flavor that it does have is masked by creamy almond milk and fragrant vanilla extract.
We don’t need a lot of words for the facts about this Charcoal detox latte.
It is Gluten-Free, Oil-Free, Paleo, and Vegan.
3 cups almond milk (or non dairy milk of choice)
1 teaspoon activated charcoal
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Sweetener of choice (dates, maple syrup, stevia)
Add milk into a saucepan and heat over medium high until steaming. If you are using dates to sweeten, add them to the saucepan while you are heating up the milk.
Add the warm milk, charcoal, vanilla, and sweetener into a blender. Blend until creamy and frothy.
